Fertility Medication Coordination

Through Progyny Rx, an integrated medication experience, all standard of care fertility medications needed for your treatment will be included in your Smart Cycles. Progyny Rx includes a seamless authorization process, overnight delivery of your medications and access to pharmacy clinicians to answer your questions and support you.

  • As a reminder, Hearst already offers comprehensive fertility treatment resources through Progyny. Employees who want to have a child or preserve their fertility can take advantage of cutting-edge fertility resources that combine the best science, service and technology for pregnancy and fertility success rates with three Smart Cycles that can be used for IUI, IVF, fertility preservation, donor tissue coverage and more.   • Hearst also already offers a $25,000 lifetime maximum reimbursement for costs associated with adopting a child or surrogacy. This benefit is available to full-time employees in a participating business unit. The adoption and surrogacy assistance benefit is subject to federal income tax. Cooling Cap Coverage During Chemotherapy Treatment

Cooling cap coverage will now be provided for you and your covered dependents.

Scalp hypothermia is cooling the scalp with ice packs or cooling caps (cold caps) for a period of time before, during and after each chemotherapy treatment to try to prevent or reduce hair loss.

Travel Coverage for Gender-Affirming Surgeries

Travel and lodging assistance will be provided in the lifetime maximum amount of $10,000 for you and your covered dependents. This includes the following expenses for the recipient and one companion:

  • Transportation to and from the facility, including charges for a rental car used during a period of care at the facility.

  • Lodging while at or traveling to and from the facility site. Providers must be in-network — either surgeon or facility — and greater than 50 miles from the patient’s residence.

As a reminder, employees and their covered dependents already have access to puberty-suppressing hormones for transgender youth, psychotherapy for gender dysphoria, surgery — including penectomy, vaginoplasty, mastectomy and metoidioplasty — voice modification surgery and therapy, facial bone remodeling, lipofilling for body masculinization or feminization, hair removal and transplantation, trachea shaving and more.

All medical services and treatments provided through Hearst’s UHC medical plan coverage fully align with the World Professional Association for Transgender Health Standards of Care.

Voluntary Benefits Marketplace for Comparing Auto, Home & Pet Insurance Options

Spouse/Domestic Partner Life Insurance Coverage

Spouse/domestic partner life insurance coverage will be available in the increased amounts of $5,000, $10,000, $15,000, $20,000, $25,000, $30,000, $50,000, $75,000, $100,000, $125,000, $150,000, $175,000, $200,000, $225,000 and $250,000. Premiums are based on age.***

Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Family Coverage

Spouse/domestic partner AD&D coverage will now be available as Family AD&D coverage. The maximum coverage level has increased from 5x to 8x your pay.****
