Hearst Dependent Care Subsidy

Hearst offers a $1,500 subsidy to employees earning an annual salary of up to $100,000 to help offset dependent care expenses. To receive the subsidy, eligible employees must contribute $260 or more annually to a Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA). A Dependent Care FSA allows you to set aside before-tax money to be reimbursed for eligible childcare (up to age 13) or adult dependent care expenses. You must make your 2022 Dependent Care FSA election during Annual Enrollment. The company contribution will be deposited into employees’ Dependent Care FSAs in January 2022. Please note, you can contribute from $260 up to a maximum of $5,000 — or a $2,500 family maximum — to your Dependent Care FSA in 2022. This includes Hearst’s contribution through the Dependent Care Subsidy.
